About Us

We are a dedicated group of Filipino women inspired by the teachings of Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippine national hero. His advocacy for education, empowerment, and women’s rights, vividly expressed in his letter to the Women of Malolos, serves as our guiding principle. In his letter, Rizal commended their courage in seeking enlightenment and urged them to pursue knowledge, emphasizing the pivotal role of educated and empowered women in societal progress and nation-building.

Rizal’s vision resonates deeply with us, calling for a future shaped by informed and empowered Filipino women. We are committed to this cause, striving to contribute to the betterment of our community and our nation.

As a civic, patriotic, cultural, non-partisan, non-sectarian, charitable, and non-profit organization, we uphold these values and work tirelessly to promote education, empowerment, and active participation of women in nation-building.

Angie Briguera

Chairperson

Angie is currently working as an Associate 2 in Documentation within Lending Services at BNZ, where he is responsible for managing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate documentation to support efficient lending operations.

Lonie Martin

Vice Chairperson

Lonie is currently working as a Health Worker, providing essential care and support to patients while promoting health and wellbeing in the community.

Auie Barberan

Secretary

Auie is currently working as a Receptionist and Online & Social Media Manager at Sable Fine Hair, where she manages front-desk operations while also overseeing the brand’s online presence and social media engagement.

Maria Eda Arado

Treasurer

Marie is currently an Academic Staff Member at the School of Engineering, Weltec Te Pūkenga. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) earned in 2016 and contributes to teaching, research, and student development in the engineering field.

Melanie Farenas

Auditor

Melanie is currently working as a Support Worker and Trainer at Access Community Health, while also serving as the Director of Jam Cleaning Limited. He is dedicated to providing community support and training, alongside managing and overseeing business operations.
